Putna Monastery – Restoration and Modernization

Putna Monastery – Restoration and Modernization

The Putna monastery is a Romanian Ortodox monastery, one of the most important cultural, religious and artistic centers established in medieval Moldavia, built and dedicated by Prince Stephan the Great. He is famous for building and influencing the building of dozens of churches and monasteries all over Moldavia (he founded a religious edifice after each important military victory). The Putna Monastery houses the tombs of Stephen —nowadays, a place of pilgrimage —, and several of his family members.

The recent project of restoration and modernization improved a lot the image of the monastery, which is also discretely complemented by the new floor with inbuilt AERA’s floor convectors.
